Pagham Caravan Holidays and Holiday Parks
The village of Pagham is the ideal location for those wanting a relaxing holiday by the sea but who also want the option of visiting an all action seaside resort and enjoy the trappings of big cities.

That is because whilst the rural coastal village of Pagham offers the perfect base for relaxing whilst on holiday it is just a short drive or bus ride to the popular resort of Bognor Regis and it is just a few miles from the historic city of Chichester.

Whilst been a small village, Pagham can be split into 3 distinct areas of Pagham Beach, Pagham Village and Nyetimber, a former separate village that has now become part of Pagham due to the growth of both.

Pagham Caravan Holidays

The village of Pagham is the ideal holiday destination for those wanting a relaxing getaway, on the coast and who are looking either for a base to explore West Sussex and Hampshire or for those who simply want a comfortable base to sit and relax and to take in the beautiful views of the English Channel.

Pagham Attractions

Pagham isn’t a holiday resort in the traditional sense, so it doesn’t offer the same range of other popular resorts, such as the nearby Bognor Regis, but it does offer lots of rest and relaxation for those holidaying in the village.

The biggest attraction of Pagham is Pagham Beach. A shingle beach that stretches for miles upon miles, from Broad Rife to Bognor Regis so not only can you enjoy some of the warmest weather in the country whilst taking in the sea views but you can also walk to one of the region’s leading seaside holiday resorts and enjoy all that is on offer in Bognor.

Many of the dwellings and buildings fronting the village are bungalows built from railway carriages although many of these have been replaced by sturdier constructions.

Another place to enjoy a walk and to see some local wildlife is Pagham Lagoon which offers good paths which are ideal for those with smaller children or older relatives.

The most famous feature of the village sits just to the south-west of the 13th century village centre. Known as Pagham Harbour, the harbour and the land that surrounds it is an Area of Outstanding Scientific Interest which is fame for its national importance for both flora and fauna and it also attracts lots of local and stopping off wildlife.

A Phoenix breakwater, which was designed to aid the wartime effort at Mulberry Harbour can be often seen at low tide.

Location

The village of Pagham is located on the West Sussex coast to the south of Chichester, the west of Bognor Regis and to the East of Portsmouth.

From the villages seafront, you can enjoy views towards Worthing and Brighton as well as across the English Channel towards Le Havre and Dieppe.

Transport

If you are holidaying in Pagham using your own transport it is relatively straight forward from most parts of England, Scotland and Wales, although due to been on the southern coast of England, it is often a long drive for many holidaymakers.

For those coming from the north west, you can reach the park via the M3/M27 and onto the A27 or for those coming from the north and north east you can arrive into Pagham via the M25/M23/A272/A27. The village is just a short drive from the A27 which links the main southern towns and cities of Portsmouth, Chichester and Brighton amongst others.

If you are arriving into the village using public transport, it is tougher and will take longer for most.

Most visitors will need to transfer onto either local bus services at Bognor Regis or for speed and ease, grab a taxi from the towns train or bus station as Bognor offers a range of coach, bus and train services.

Bognor Regis train station sits on a branch line off of the West Coastway Line, which runs from Southampton to Brighton and takes in the likes of Fareham, Portsmouth, Chichester, Littlehampton and Hove. There are also regular long distance services to London Victoria.

Out and About

Just to the north east of the village is the all action holiday resort of Bognor Regis which offers lots to see and do for all holidaymakers.

Further east is the seaside town of Worthing whilst the popular city and holiday resort of Brighton is just a short drive farther east along the A27.

To the north of the village is the historic city of Chichester and the idyllic South Downs National Park whilst nature lovers can also enjoy exploring Chichester Harbour which is just to the north west of the village.

Further west is the historic navy city of Portsmouth which is a growing tourist destination in its own right whilst if you continue west you will reach the thriving city of Southampton, known for its worlds famous cruise port and the iconic New Forest.
