Harwich Caravan Holidays and Holiday Parks

Nearby Clacton-on-Sea
The town is the northernmost town in the county and sits on the River Stour, which is home to not only the port of Harwich but also the port of Felixstowe which alongside Ipswich, make up the Haven Ports which where the only deepwater ports between the Humber and the Thames and that have been the starting point for many famous sea adventures.
The towns position on the estuaries of both the river Stour and the Orwell river has proved useful to mariners for 100’s of years so it is no surprise that the town was a heavily fortified naval base and much of that history can be seen throughout Harwich.
Whilst the port of Harwich is still a key part of the town, there is lots more awaiting holidaymakers including a small number of caravan holiday parks.
