Location
Eastbourne is located on the south coast of England, in the county of East Sussex and roughly halfway between Brighton and Hastings.
Transport
If you are visiting the town using your own transport it is relatively straightforward to reach Eastbourne although as one of the most southern parts of the UK, it can be a long drive for many and it is some distance from the nearest motorway.
For those arriving form the North, West and East, the resort can be reached via the A22 from the M25 motorway which links to key roads including the M4, the M1 and the A1.
If you are coming from other parts of the south coast to the west of the resort, including Hampshire, Devon, Dorset and Cornwall, you can reach the resort via the M27/A27 and for those arriving from the east, the A259 links the town with Hastings, Ashford, Folkstone and Dover amongst over towns and cities.
If you are relying on public transport the resort has a number of ways to get to it including long distance coach services directly from many towns and cities and via London and the town also has its own train station.
From there you can reach the town directly from Bexhill, Hastings, Lewes, Brighton and London Victoria, amongst other places and there is a direct link to Ashford International from where you can take HS1 services to London St Pancras and to the continent via Eurostar.

The town sits on the far eastern edge of the South Downs national Park, in between the resorts of Brighton and Hastings. The historic cities of Royal Tunbridge Wells and Canterbury are easily reached from the town whilst you can enjoy a trip to the continent by ferry or rail from Folkstone, Dover or Ashford.
