Weymouth Bay is a relaxed caravan holiday park set amongst nearly 80 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds full of a great range of facilities, activities and attractions. Whilst the park may not offer the seemingly never end list of facilities of some of Haven’s All-Action parks, Weymouth Bay brings you quality over quantity.

The park features and indoor and outdoor swimming pool, but it is the park lazy river that is the stand out. If you don’t know what a lazy river is, it is a shallow pool that winds around in a circular circuit. There is a small current that pushes you along, which makes a lazy river a great way to relax and ideal for everyone from strong swimmers to non-swimmers to enjoy.

The park also offer nature walks direct from the site and is within a short stroll of the beaches, attractions, bars, cafés, shops and restaurants of Weymouth.

For sporty types there are lots of option including archery, fencing, crazy golf, kart hire and lots of green spaces perfect for kicking a ball around, playing Frisbee or just relaxing with a picnic.

Inside options include an arcade, pool table, play areas and a range of daytime entertainment options including kid’s clubs and teen clubs.

When the sun goes down the fun doesn’t stop with the parks entertainment complex offering lots of options. Weymouth Bay Show bar is the main evening entertainment centre with everything from bingo to kids show and from cabarets acts to a late-night disco on offer.

Location

Weymouth Bay Holiday Park is located in the village of Preston, just outside of the reside town and resort of Weymouth on Dorset’s Jurassic coastline.

The park is surrounded by beautiful countryside and there is a RSPB reserve and beach access just a couple of miles stroll from the park.

Whilst the park’s location makes it a peaceful and relaxing holiday base, it does make it difficult for those without a car to reach although there are regular train, bus and coach services to Weymouth with a small train station in the village of Upwey even closer.

The park is easy to reach via car with good access to the main A354 road into Weymouth which links to the A35- the key access road to the many coastal towns and cities on the South Coast.

Out and About

There is lots to do in the near vicinity to the park with Weymouth been the closest town and offering the chance to spend the day on the beach, eat a good range of cafes and restaurants or have a drink in one of the towns many pubs. Weymouth also has a number of attractions including a popular Sea Life centre whilst just the other side of the town is the Isle of Portland.

Further afield are the towns and cities of Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth, Yeovil, Taunton, Exeter and Salisbury which all have lots to offer visitors and their own characters.

The ports of Poole, Southampton and Portsmouth offer a range of ferry services to the continent, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands for those that want a more adventurous day out but for many it is the natural beauty of Dorset and surrounding area that is the main attractions with the nearby East Devon and Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the West Dorset Heritage Coast and the Studland Godlington Heath National nature Reserve all well worth exploring.
