The remote location of the park does make it difficult for those without access to their own transportation although there are train services and long distance coach services to both Bridlington and Filey.

The park is just a short walk from one of the countries leading RSPB reserves at Bempton Cliffs and the Flamborough Heritage Coast where you can take long walks across the cliff tops of East Yorkshire and explore a number of former smuggling bays and beautiful yet rugged beaches and coves.

A short drive, or long walk to the South is the popular seaside resort of Bridlington which offers a good choice of seaside attractions including boat rides from the harbour, theme park/ fair ground rides, a long promenade, a great theatre as well as a good choice of café’s, bars and restaurants.

If you head inland the Yorkshire Wolds is easily reached from the park and offer lots of hiking opportunities and the chance to visit many picturesque villages, whilst Beverley to the South is an historic town complete with impressive minster and race course.
