Location
Solent Breezes caravan park is located on the seafront on the Solent overlooking the Sile of Wight. Fareham is just a few miles down the road, with the park almost equidistant between the popular Hampshire cities of Southampton and Portsmouth.
The park is a 10-15 minute drive from the M27, which links the 2 cities and makes it easy to reach from all parts of the British Isles.
Whilst the parks location makes for a fantastic holiday base, it does make it harder for those without access to their own transport harder to reach.
Both Southampton and Portsmouth offer links to major towns and cities across Britain via rail and long distance coach services but it is an expansive taxi ride from both to reach the park.
Southampton and Portsmouth also offer ferry services to the Isle of Wight, whilst Southampton airport also offers regular flights to Airports across England, Scotland, both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland as well as the continent.
Out and About
Hampshire is home to many great attractions including Highclere Castle, Paultons Park theme park, Winchester Cathedral and Marwell Zoo whilst the cities of Southampton and Portsmouth are both well worth a visit.
Southampton is home to one of the UK’s biggest and busiest ports and it is the home of cruises in England. Sitting on the quayside, you can get up close to some of the worlds biggest and most iconic cruise ships including those offered by Cunard and P&O.
If you are into maritime history, the historic city of Portsmouth is a must visit. Even if you feel like you have little interest in the history of the port of Portsmouth, the naval docks offers something for everybody including the Mary Rose Museum, HMS Victory and the nearby Spinnaker Tower which offers views for miles and miles.
The port is also home to many of the British navy’s largest ships which you can often see coming in and out of port whilst walking around town.
The nearby market town of Fareham offers a small choice of local shops, restaurants and cafes.
