Location

Dovercourt is located just to the south of the port town of Harwich, on the Essex coastline. For those with access to their own transport it is just a short drive from the A120 to the park.

The park’s location on a quiet part of the Essex coast makes for a great holiday destination but it does make it harder for those relying on public transport although there is a small train station in the village of Dovercourt.

Out and About

To the South of the park is the Hamford Water National Nature Reserve which is a wonderful spot for birdwatchers but it is also a great place for nature lovers to take in some local wildlife.

Just to the West of the park is the historic city of Colchester which is home to a wonderful zoo and an historic castle and it also offers a good selection of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops whilst the always popular seaside holiday resort of Clacton-on-Sea is just to the South of the park and makes for a great day out.

To the North of Dovercourt holiday park is the city of Ipswich although you do have to drive around the River Stour to reach the city that for many is the entrance to the Suffolk broads which is always worth visiting whilst on holiday.
