Flamborough is famed for its iconic cliffs which are home to 1000’s and 1000’s of seas birds which can be enjoyed from the public RSPB nature reserve but there is lots more to this small seaside town with a long history of smuggling which can be seen by exploring the 3 sandy bays.

Despite miles and miles of beautiful coastline and idyllic and historic villages, towns and cities, the region of East Yorkshire is predominantly a rural one where you are more likely to meet a farmer than you are an office worker.

The Vale of York and other low lying areas offer fertile plains whilst much of the region features low chalk hills that make for a beautiful landscape.

For many though it is the Yorkshire Wolds which is the standout of rural East Yorkshire and it is these low hills, rolling countryside and small villages that act as a reason to visit the area.

The Yorkshire Wolds Way offers mile after mile of well sign posted walking paths that make it easy to explore the best of what the Wolds has to offer.
