Yurts
A yurt was traditionally used by nomadic tribes in central Asia with the word yurt coming from the Turkic languages.
Originally, these lightweight dwellings consisted of an angled assembly of light wood or bamboo to create walls, a door frame, ribs (poles and rafters) and a wheel (a compression rig or crown).
These offered shelter from the heat and cold and some to rest on long travels but nowadays the form has been developed into a large canvas tent like structure with lots of luxurious touches.
