Glamping

Glamping is a portmanteau, or a blend, of the words glamorous and camping and that is exactly what it is. For many years camping was for many either simply pitching a tent in a field or arriving at a campsite with your own tourer caravan or motorhome but glamping has really opened up what camping can be classed as and has opened up campsites to a whole new generation of holidaymakers.

The good news is that more and more holiday parks are not just accommodating holidaymakers wishing to experience glamping but they are excelling at offering glamping holidays.

Best of all is that when you book a glamping holiday on holiday parks you not only get to take advantage of the great locations of the UK leading holiday parks but you get to enjoy all of the great facilities, attractions, and activities on offer.

Whilst glamping is more expensive that simply pitching your tent, this modern type of holiday still offers fantastic value for money as on the majority of glamping holiday parks you pay per accommodation and not per person.

The word glamping is thought to have only appeared in the United Kingdom in 2005 and it was not until 2016 when it entered the Oxford English Dictionary but it has already become a hugely popular holiday choice for many couples and many families.
